Back to School with New & Improved Coteach Features: Diagrams & Visual Aids

Adding and improving upon diagrams and visuals has been, perhaps, the single most requested enhancement from Coteach users, and we're excited to say that Coteach can help with this! Below are some practical ways you can use Coteach to build visuals that support student learning.

1. Practice sets that include visuals Math is inherently visual, and diagrams help deepen understanding. When building additional practice, Coteach can create problems that include the visual representations some students need.

Try prompting: "Please create additional practice problems for each activity in the lesson. The problems should include diagrams and visual representations."

And don't forget—you can export Google Docs or PDFs of the problems!

2. Scaffold with visual aids and diagrams Visuals provide valuable conceptual supports for all learners, but they're especially important for multilingual learners. Whether you know exactly what type of diagram you need or you're looking for recommendations, Coteach can help.

When you know exactly what you want: "Please create a double number line that my students can use as a manipulative."

For recommendations: "Please recommend visual aids or diagrams that will help my multilingual learners understand the core concepts of this lesson."

3. Create anchor charts Use Coteach to create visuals that reinforce key unit concepts and serve as reference tools throughout your instruction.

Try this two-step approach: First prompt with "What are the learning targets for this unit?" After reviewing the response, follow up,"Based on these learning goals, can you create anchor charts that support the key concepts of the unit?"
